How far do credits go?

A credit is about one cent of AI usage. How many a request takes depends on how much work it is: how many layers it reads, how many changes it makes, and how many frames it checks.

These are measured ranges from real projects; yours will vary with the comp and the request. Your panel shows exactly what each request used.

A request likeCredits
A small change: “fade the title in over 12 frames”5–10
A build: “gradient background, animated title and subtitle”20–40
Following a tutorial link (depends on the video’s length)60–120

So the free trial is about 10 builds or a couple of tutorials, and Pro (2,000 credits) is about 60 builds a month.

Credits, cancelling and refunds

More detail in Credits & billing and the refund policy.

What exactly is a credit?

A credit is about one cent of AI usage. Every request Cue handles uses some: it reads your comp, thinks, makes changes and checks frames, and each of those steps costs a little. A small change is about 5–10 credits, a build about 20–40, and following a tutorial link about 60–120. The panel shows what each request used, and your balance is in the panel and on your account page.

Why credits instead of unlimited?

Because the cost of a request varies a lot. Charging for what each request really uses keeps small jobs cheap and means nobody pays for someone else’s 3-hour session.

What happens when I run out?

The panel tells you before it starts a request it can’t afford, and nothing half-finished is left in your comp. Add a top-up or upgrade and carry on where you left off.

Do unused credits roll over?

Monthly plan credits reset at the start of each billing period. Top-up credits stay on your account (see the refund policy for how long), and are used after your monthly allowance.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Open your account page, choose Manage billing, and cancel. Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and you won’t be charged again.

Can I get a refund?

If something went wrong, email us. Our refund policy explains when we refund unused top-ups and first subscription payments. Payments are handled by Polar, our merchant of record, so refunds go back to your original payment method.

Who handles payment and tax?

Polar, our merchant of record. They process cards, add the right sales tax or VAT for your country, and send your invoices.
